About

The Sunday Paper is an independent publication platforming artists and writers opposing colonial media hegemony. The Sunday Paper was created on Aboriginal Land in 2021 to platform Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Palestinian artists and writers in boycott of zionist-owned australian publisher Schwartz Media.

For years, Schwartz has deliberately erased Palestinians and their struggle, suppressing critique of the zionist occupation entity. While it has sought to occupy progressive spaces and absorb progressive voices, Schwartz Media's anti-Palestinian directive enables colonial violence, occupation, genocide, ethnic cleansing and apartheid.

At the end of 2023, with a renewed editorial team, The Sunday Paper has expanded its editorial scope to encompass the legacy of Third World Internationalism and to platform global anti-imperialist liberation struggles. We recognise that national liberation struggles are united by a commitment to anti-imperialism.

A necessary addition to the media landscape, The Sunday Paper is more than a paper: it is an art object, a provocation and a counter-space.
